These guys make some incredible projects, if only I had time to try some of them! But it’s not just all electronics and gadgets they also do crazy stuff like zombie makeup, vampire teeth and origami. I just may have to make some time to try the foxhole radio project.

The truth is hard to comprehend
It seems that when we get a myth in our head it’s hard to replace it with the truth!
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently issued a flier to combat myths about the flu vaccine. It recited various commonly held views and labeled them either “true” or “false.” Among those identified as false were statements such as “The side effects are worse than the flu” and “Only older people need flu vaccine.”
When University of Michigan social psychologist Norbert Schwarz had volunteers read the CDC flier, however, he found that within 30 minutes, older people misremembered 28 percent of the false statements as true. Three days later, they remembered 40 percent of the myths as factual.

Georgia Coast Facts
Although Georgia has only about 100 miles of coastline, it contains one third of the East Coasts salt marsh.
Brunswick’s port is the western most port on the East coast.
A straight line from Brunswick north would cross Cincinnati, OH.
Spanish Moss, the stringy growth that hangs from trees in the US coastal Southeast, is actually not really a moss but a member of the plant family Bromeliaceae, also known as the pineapple family. Check the links for interesting legends of the origin of this plant.
Moon Boots
Neil Armstrong’s moon boots are still siting on the moon along with nine other pairs worn during the Apollo missions. They were jettison to compensate for the additional weight in moon rocks they were bringing back to earth.
According to Michael Conover, a professor of wildlife at Utah State University, the deer population is at an all time high, “more now than when the Pilgrims landed!” He cites the decline of hunting as a major reason.

Most believe it’s the MSG(Monosodium glutamate), a food additive to enhance flavor. Seems to stimulate the taste buds and send the saliva glands into overdrive. Also this MSG is a sodium, what salty treat doesn’t make your thirsty? Another idea is that there’s a lot of rice, which absorbs moisture. Anyone else have any conclusive facts about this?
